Thanks for the opportunity to review your book.
Many years ago, when I first became a project manager there was little in the way of 'informal' or structured reading to help me start. Many of the courses I attended educated me as to the reasons for project management and provided an overview. However, they failed to help clarify how I could start my project. After attending many courses it became clear that I was very much alone in my quest to become a fully-fledged project manager. I suppose that's still true today except that many of the project 'tools' have become smarter and more intuitive. But, they are just that, 'tool's. They are no substitute for sound, structured, business based project management. Your book provides that guidance. The book suggests ways in which the project manager can implement a sound process approach to project management. "Happy Projects". What a wonderful description. I have found that the approach to project manage in your book provides much of the process, plus a step by step guide that more than compensates for the 'I'm lost' feeling after a course and when starting the role of a project manager.. I found the whole approach and structure of the book easy to follow, meaningful and more important a basis on which any sensible project manager, experienced or otherwise, will benefit from its content.
Best wishes on a successful launch.
